Visit the Studio
Sterling Roots is a working silversmith studio and retail space located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. This is where all Sterling Roots jewelry is hand-fabricated — forged, shaped, and finished at the bench using traditional tools and techniques.
Collectors are welcome to visit the studio to experience current work in person and view one-of-a-kind pieces as they are completed.
Studio Hours
Wednesday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Studio hours are in effect through January.
Winter Studio Closure
Each winter, the Sterling Roots studio closes mid January - February to attend the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show in Arizona.
This time is dedicated to sourcing the cabochons and materials that will shape the work for the remainder of 2026. Stones are selected directly from miners and lapidists — chosen for quality, character, and story. These annual sourcing trips ensure every material worked into the studio’s designs is selected by hand, with intention and discernment.
The studio reopens following this annual sourcing period.
