Domestic Shipping Policy
Sterling Roots ships within the United States only. Orders are not shipped internationally.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Collectors select their preferred delivery option at the time of purchase.
All shipments are insured by default up to a value of $100. Additional insurance may be added at the collector’s discretion prior to finalizing the order
Shipping coverage applies only during transit. Responsibility transfers according to the terms outlined below.
Processing Time
Processing timelines depend on the status of the piece at the time of purchase.
In-Stock Work
Completed one-of-a-kind pieces ship within 48 hours of purchase. These works are finished and ready for dispatch from the studio.
Made-to-Order Work
Select core designs and chain work may require fabrication prior to shipping. Made-to-order pieces require up to three weeks for hand fabrication before dispatch.
Timelines are bench-led and determined by the metalwork itself. Fabrication time does not include shipping transit.
Collectors receive confirmation once the piece has shipped.
Insurance & Tracking
All shipments include insurance coverage up to $100 by default.
Collectors purchasing higher-value one-of-a-kind work are responsible for selecting additional insurance coverage at checkout if desired.
Tracking information is provided once the order is marked as shipped. Delivery progress and final confirmation are handled through the selected carrier.
Packaging Standards
Each piece of hand-forged jewelry is packaged by hand in the Sterling Roots studio.
Protective materials appropriate for metalwork are used to ensure structural protection during transit. An anti-tarnish tab is included to help maintain condition while in shipment.
Packaging is designed for protection, not presentation excess. All materials are selected to safeguard weight, form, and surface integrity during delivery.
Signature Requirements & Responsibility
Delivery options, including any signature confirmation services, are selected by the collector at checkout.
Responsibility for the shipment transfers to the collector once the package is marked as accepted by USPS. For acquisition boundaries and post-purchase policy, review Returns & Exchanges.
Sterling Roots is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, incorrect shipping information provided at checkout, or delivery conditions once the package is marked as accepted.
Collectors are encouraged to monitor tracking updates and ensure secure delivery conditions.
