This one-of-a-kind ring is built in argentium silver and accented with 18K gold rock elements that move across the surface like a natural stone pathway. The contrast between darkened silver and warm gold creates a bold terrain-like composition across the band. Forged in our Adirondack artisan jewelry studio, the ring carries both sculptural presence and adaptable wearability through its adjustable structure.
Architectural Form & Scale
The ring is shaped with a broad, substantial band that supports the dimensional rock accents across its upper surface. The layout follows a natural pathway formation, with raised gold elements placed in an organic sequence that moves across the silver terrain.
The band tapers slightly toward the underside for comfort while maintaining a strong visual profile across the top of the finger. The adjustable structure allows the ring to maintain stability while accommodating a range of sizes.
This design reads as both sculptural and grounded, emphasizing the physical presence of metal and form.
Material Composition & Visual Impact
The ring pairs argentium silver with 18K gold rock accents, creating a striking material contrast. The oxidized finish deepens the silver tones, allowing the gold elements to stand prominently against the darker background.
The gold accents resemble natural rock formations scattered along a pathway, producing a landscape-like surface across the ring. Light reflects differently from each raised element, giving the piece depth and movement.
The composition reflects the rugged terrain that inspires much of the work emerging from our Adirondack studio.
Forging Discipline
This ring was forged and shaped at the bench using traditional silversmithing tools. The argentium silver band was formed and refined to establish the structure and curvature of the ring before the gold elements were individually placed and secured.
Each gold accent was positioned to maintain visual balance while preserving the organic, terrain-inspired layout that defines the design.
The final oxidized finish enhances the dimensional surface and highlights the contrast between the two metals.
