This one-of-a-kind sterling silver bracelet is built with substantial weight, natural stone, and free-form metalwork. A raindrop-shaped genuine amethyst anchors the center, flanked by two round Ocean Jasper cabochons and heavy molten sterling silver links shaped individually at the bench.
The combination creates a bracelet with strong material presence and an organic rhythm—moving between polished stone, hammered texture, and substantial silver from one end of the composition to the other.
Scale & Substance
Designed to fit a wrist circumference of approximately 6–7 inches, this adjustable bracelet is deliberately heavyweight. The substantial stone settings are balanced by solid free-form sterling silver links, giving the entire bracelet both physical weight and visual presence.
Its articulated construction allows each section to move independently and follow the wrist comfortably while maintaining the scale and structure of the design.
Stone & Material Character
A genuine raindrop-shaped amethyst sits at the center, secured within an elevated gallery bezel that gives the stone additional dimension.
On either side is a round Ocean Jasper cabochon. Each is built with a slightly extended backplate, leaving a visible perimeter of sterling silver around the stone. Hand-applied hammer texture across the exposed silver adds another layer of surface detail and distinguishes the stone settings from the smooth cabochons.
Deep purple amethyst and the distinctive patterning of Ocean Jasper bring natural variation into a bracelet otherwise defined by the weight and texture of forged sterling silver.
Studio Process
This bracelet is bench-forged silver, constructed component by component at the Sterling Roots studio.
Between the stone settings are free-form molten sterling silver links. The silver is worked and rolled through the studio rolling mill, allowing the metal to develop irregular, organic forms rather than a uniform link profile. Each piece is then shaped and refined individually before being incorporated into the articulated bracelet.
The stone settings are fabricated separately, the exposed backplates are hammer textured by hand, and a handmade sterling silver clasp completes the construction. The finished bracelet is oxidized and selectively refined to emphasize the depth, texture, and contours of the metalwork.
