Forged by hand in solid sterling silver, this one-of-a-kind pendant features a blue flash labradorite set against a sculptural flowing backplate. Built in our Adirondack jewelry studio using traditional silversmithing tools, each element is shaped, stamped, and refined at the bench with disciplined metalwork.
The result is hand-forged sterling silver jewelry that emphasizes movement, depth, and heirloom quality silver structure.
Form & Proportion
Measuring just under 1.5 inches in length, the pendant carries a compact yet dimensional presence.
The labradorite anchors the composition, while the flowing backplate extends beyond the stone, creating directional movement and a sense of natural contour. Hand-stamped detailing across the surface introduces texture and rhythm, enhancing the visual depth of the piece.
A large bail at the crown provides balance and allows the pendant to pair with a range of chains, including larger handmade styles.
Materials & Method
The labradorite is selected for its vivid blue flash, shifting with light and angle. It is secured within a hand-formed straight bezel built from solid sterling silver.
The backplate is forged and shaped to create a flowing silhouette, then hand-stamped to add texture and dimension. The piece is oxidized and hand-finished to bring forward the stamped details and contours of the metalwork.
