Forged by hand in solid sterling silver, this one-of-a-kind pendant features a freeform blue flash labradorite framed by a sculptural overhand backplate and hand-stamped detailing. Built in our Adirondack jewelry studio using traditional silversmithing tools, each element is shaped and refined at the bench with disciplined metalwork.
The stone’s shifting blue flash and the structured silverwork create hand-forged sterling silver jewelry with depth, movement, and heirloom quality silver integrity.
Form & Proportion
Measuring just under 1.5 inches in length, the pendant carries a compact yet defined presence.
The freeform labradorite introduces an organic silhouette, while the overhand backplate adds dimensional layering beneath the stone. At the crown, hand-stamped sunray textures create directional movement, drawing the eye upward and enhancing the stone’s natural flash.
A large bail anchors the top of the piece, allowing it to pair with a range of chains, including heavier handmade styles.
Materials & Method
The labradorite is individually selected for strong blue flash and natural variation. It is secured within a hand-formed bezel built from solid sterling silver.
The backplate is forged with an overhand structure, adding both strength and depth to the pendant. Sunray stamping is applied by hand at the crown, creating texture and contrast against the oxidized finish.
Every component is constructed and finished in our Adirondack jewelry studio through traditional bench techniques.
