Crazy Lace Agate & Hammered Hoop Sterling Silver Chain Link Bracelet

This one-of-a-kind sterling silver bracelet combines three Crazy Lace Agates with substantial hand-hammered hoops to create a chain defined by stone, texture, and movement. Each cabochon is framed with finely twisted sterling silver rope wire before being connected into an articulated chain of heavy forged hoops.

The alternating stone settings and hammered silver create a strong rhythm around the wrist, balancing intricate natural pattern with substantial metalwork.

Scale & Substance

Designed to fit a wrist circumference of approximately 6–7 inches, this bracelet carries substantial presence while maintaining the movement of an articulated chain.

Three Crazy Lace Agate settings are distributed throughout the composition and connected with individual jump rings to heavy sterling silver hoops. The open hoop construction gives the bracelet flexibility while preserving the visual weight of the silver.

Stone & Material Character

Three natural Crazy Lace Agate cabochons form the stone elements of this bracelet. Their intricate banding and individual patterns introduce movement within each setting, ensuring that no two sections of the bracelet appear exactly alike.

Each cabochon is secured in a handcrafted straight bezel and surrounded by a finely twisted sterling silver rope border. This detailed perimeter creates definition around the stones and provides a textural transition into the larger hammered silver elements.

The oxidized finish settles into the recesses of the twisted wire and hammer marks, emphasizing the depth and character of the silverwork.

Studio Process

This bracelet is bench-forged silver, constructed one component at a time at the Sterling Roots studio.

Each bezel is individually formed for its Crazy Lace Agate before a fine twisted sterling silver border is added around the setting. The substantial connecting hoops are formed and hammer textured by hand, creating an irregular surface that reflects the evidence of the tools used to build them.

Sterling silver jump rings articulate the stone settings and forged hoops, allowing the bracelet to move naturally around the wrist. A handmade clasp completes the construction, carrying the handwork through every functional element of the piece.
