Custom Elk Ivory Feather Sterling Silver Ring

This custom elk ivory ring pairs a naturally varied elk ivory with a hand-forged .925 sterling silver feather and double-shank construction. Each ring is built to order, allowing the silverwork to be developed around the individual size, shape, and coloring of the selected ivory.

Collectors may provide their own elk ivory or have Sterling Roots select one from the studio. Elk ivories vary naturally: some display stronger brown coloration and surface variation, while others are predominantly white. The feather placement, forged details, and surrounding silverwork will also change according to the individual ivory used.

The double shank provides a structured foundation beneath the setting. Oxidation defines the feather and recessed details, while a high polish brightens the raised sterling silver surfaces.

The rings shown in the photographs are examples of this design built previously. The completed ring will follow the same overall form but will not be an exact replica. After purchasing, please email Sterling Roots with the required ring size.

Care

Store the ring in a dry place when it is not being worn. Avoid prolonged contact with moisture, chlorine, household chemicals, cosmetics, and abrasive surfaces. Gently clean the raised silver surfaces with a soft jewelry-polishing cloth, avoiding aggressive polishing of the oxidized details and contact with the elk ivory.
