This cuff carries breadth, structure, and layered dimension across the wrist. Three stones anchor the composition while forged feather elements move through and around the surface, creating depth and direction. Built with substantial weight and a wide profile, this is a one-of-a-kind sterling silver statement cuff formed once at the bench and held as a singular collector work.
Architectural Form & Scale
The cuff is constructed on a wide, triple-wire foundation, each wire substantial in gauge and squared beneath the wrist for stability and strength.
Across the top, the form expands into a layered arrangement, allowing both stone and metalwork to rise and overlap. A long, sculptural feather travels from one side of the cuff to the other, threading through the structure and anchoring the composition.
The width and weight distribution create a grounded presence, designed to sit securely while carrying visual movement across the full span of the wrist.
Stone Composition & Visual Impact
Three stones define the upper structure, arranged to create balance and variation in tone and form.
At the center, a larger aquamarine cabochon holds clarity and light, partially overlaid by a forged feather that introduces both depth and shadow. On one side, a freeform aquamarine extends the palette with natural variation in shape and tone. On the opposite side, an oval apatite brings a deeper blue, creating contrast within the composition.
The arrangement moves from light to depth, with the feather elements guiding the eye across the stones and reinforcing the flow of the design.
Forging Discipline
This cuff is built through traditional silversmithing methods, with each structural and decorative element formed and integrated at the bench.
The triple-wire base is shaped and aligned to support the weight and width of the cuff, requiring precision in both curvature and balance. Each bezel is individually formed to its stone, then positioned within the layered structure.
The feather elements are forged and shaped to move with the form of the cuff, integrating seamlessly into the composition while maintaining definition and structure throughout.
