The necklace is built around a 3.5-inch floral bouquet that spans the front of the neckline with a broad, balanced presence. Rather than centering on a single pendant, the composition extends horizontally, allowing the flowers themselves to become the defining architectural feature.

Each forged flower is positioned to create natural movement throughout the bouquet while maintaining a cohesive structure. The stems converge beneath the blossoms, drawing the eye toward the round lapis lazuli that provides a visual anchor at the base of the arrangement.

Hammered sterling silver hoops suspend the bouquet from the chain, introducing subtle movement while preserving the structural integrity of the centerpiece. At approximately 21 inches in length, the necklace rests comfortably below the collarbone, allowing the full bouquet to be appreciated as a unified composition.

This necklace was developed through direct hand-forged bench work using traditional silversmithing tools in the Sterling Roots studio in the Adirondack Mountains.

Each flower was individually forged and shaped before being assembled into the bouquet. The stems were carefully positioned to establish balance across the composition while naturally directing the eye toward the lapis lazuli setting.

The hammered connecting hoops were fabricated individually before joining the centerpiece to Sterling Roots' signature hand-forged Cori chain. The necklace was completed with an oxidized finish that emphasizes the depth and precision of the forged surfaces.

The finished work reflects disciplined studio practice: sculptural forging, deliberate assembly, precise stone setting, and architectural chain construction executed through traditional silversmithing techniques.
