Hand-forged in the Adirondack foothills, this one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant features a Labradorite selected for its striking green flash. A sculpted silver swirl sweeps across the upper portion of the stone before continuing upward to become part of the bail, while a hummingbird accent completes the nature-inspired composition.

Built individually at the Sterling Roots bench, this pendant balances luminous natural stone with flowing silverwork and disciplined traditional silversmithing.

Form & Wearability

Measuring approximately 1.5 inches in length, this pendant carries distinctive detail within a refined scale designed for everyday wear. The Labradorite becomes the focal point as its green flash shifts with changes in light and viewing angle.

The silver swirl follows the upper contour of the stone and transitions directly into the bail, creating continuity through the design. A hummingbird adds a recognizable natural form, while the oxidized finish brings greater definition to the dimensional silver details.

Material & Studio Practice

This artisan sterling silver pendant is built by hand within our Adirondack jewelry studio using traditional silversmithing tools and hands-on fabrication techniques.

The Labradorite is individually set before the swirl and hummingbird elements are integrated into the composition. The swirl is formed to serve both visually and structurally, flowing across the stone before becoming part of the pendant's bail.

Oxidation is applied to emphasize recessed areas and dimensional details, bringing contrast to the handwork while allowing the green flash of the Labradorite to remain central.
