This one-of-a-kind sterling silver cuff is a Signature statement built with commanding scale and bold mineral presence. Three large freeform lapis lazuli cabochons anchor the composition, their deep blue surfaces framed in straight bezels and supported by an overhand backplate that defines the structure of the piece.
Forged from substantial round sterling silver wire and finished with hand-stamped detailing, this cuff carries both visual authority and material weight. The result is artisan silver jewelry shaped with deliberate proportion and strong architectural balance.
Scale & Substance
Built from substantial 10 gauge round sterling silver wire, the cuff carries noticeable strength and durability across the wrist. The three-stone layout creates a broad visual field, allowing the lapis lazuli to dominate the design while remaining balanced within the metalwork.
The freeform stones introduce organic movement across the cuff’s centerline, while the heavy silver band anchors the structure. This is a bracelet designed to sit with intention — grounded, stable, and visually commanding.
Bench-forged silver built for presence.
Stone & Material Character
The three lapis lazuli cabochons were sourced at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, selected for their deep ultramarine tone and natural mineral flecking. Each stone carries subtle variation in pattern and color, reinforcing the one-of-a-kind character of the cuff.
Straight bezels frame the stones with clarity and strength, allowing the natural form of the cabochons to remain the focal point. The overhand backplate beneath the stones provides dimensional depth and reinforces the structural integrity of the setting.
The combination of deep blue lapis and oxidized sterling silver produces striking contrast — luminous stone against grounded metal.
Studio Process
Each bezel was individually formed and soldered into position across the cuff’s centerline. The overhand backplate was built to frame the stones and support the scale of the composition.
The cuff band was shaped from heavy round sterling silver wire and formed to its final curvature before the stone settings were secured. Hand stamping was applied to the metalwork to introduce texture and subtle visual rhythm.
Final finishing and oxidation enhanced depth across the surfaces, highlighting both the silver work and the stone placement.
This is disciplined metalwork shaped through traditional silversmithing techniques.
