Men’s Striated Wide Band Hand-Forged Sterling Silver Ring

Hand-forged individually in our Adirondack foothills studio, these men’s sterling silver rings are built from thick silver with a deeply striated surface and naturally freeform edges. Measuring approximately 7/16 inch wide, each has substantial weight and a rugged, dimensional character created directly through the working of the metal.

No two are built exactly alike. Variations in the striations, edges, and individual tool marks are inherent to the process and distinguish each ring as hand-forged.

Form & Wearability

The broad band measures approximately 7/16 inch wide, creating a substantial presence across the finger. Rather than a perfectly uniform edge, the perimeter retains a freeform quality that complements the striking striated surface.

Each ring is built individually, so the exact placement and character of the texture will naturally vary from the ring pictured. These variations are intentional characteristics of the hand-forged process.

Because of the width and thickness of this design, the wearer should size up approximately 1/4 to 1/2 ring size from their standard size for a proper fit.

These men’s wide band rings are individually built at the Sterling Roots bench using thick sterling silver, traditional silversmithing tools, and hands-on fabrication techniques.

The striated surface, freeform edges, and substantial profile make the silver itself the defining feature. Rather than reproducing an identical surface from ring to ring, the process leaves natural variations in the metal and tool marks.

The result is a heavy sterling silver band defined by texture, weight, and the individuality of hand-forged work.
