Created as a one-of-a-kind pendant, each element is formed and assembled through disciplined bench work, then oxidized to bring definition to the layered terrain and night-sky details.

Form & Wearability

Measuring approximately 1.25 inches, this pendant concentrates substantial detail into a refined scale designed for everyday wear. Overlapping mountain layers establish depth, while changes in texture distinguish the individual ridgelines and bring movement to the landscape.

Above the peaks, a hand-stamped moon completes the scene. Oxidation settles into the recessed areas and textures, creating greater contrast between the mountains, sky, and surrounding silver.

This artisan sterling silver pendant is built by hand in our Adirondack jewelry studio. Individual layers of sterling silver are formed, textured, and assembled to construct the mountain landscape, with deliberate differences in surface treatment creating separation and dimension between the peaks.

The moon is individually hand stamped into the sky before the finished pendant is oxidized to emphasize the details. This combination of layering, texture, and traditional tool work reflects the precision and hands-on practice central to Sterling Roots.
