This one-of-a-kind sterling silver cuff alternative takes form as a sculptural raven pendant — deliberate in scale, dimensional in structure, and forged entirely by hand in our Adirondack foothill studio. A raven lands along a hand-forged branch, wings lifted in three-dimensional relief, capturing motion in metal.
This is artisan silver jewelry shaped with precision and presence — a limited release built for collectors who recognize narrative, structure, and disciplined metalwork.
Scale & Substance
Measuring just under 1.5 inches in length, this pendant carries concentrated presence. The dimensional wings rise from the body, creating depth and shadow. The branch extends horizontally, grounding the composition and reinforcing its architectural balance.
Though refined in size, the relief work gives the piece physical strength and visual weight. It reads clearly at a distance and reveals detail up close.
This is bench-forged silver shaped to hold structure and light.
Stone & Material Character
Formed entirely in sterling silver, the raven’s wings and body are hand sawn and shaped from sheet silver. The branch began as molten silver, poured and drawn into form before being forged and refined at the bench.
Surface detail is achieved through hand stamping and traditional silversmithing techniques, then oxidized to emphasize feather lines, wing movement, and texture along the branch. The oxidation settles into recesses, creating contrast and depth that highlight the sculpted form.
The result is tonal variation — shadow against silver — revealing the discipline behind the metalwork.
Studio Process
The raven silhouette was individually hand sawn, then layered and shaped to create dimensional wings. Each feather line was impressed by hand using traditional tools, building texture through controlled strikes.
The branch was formed from molten silver, then forged, shaped, and refined to support the raven’s landing posture. Components were soldered with careful alignment to preserve balance and proportion.
Final oxidation and finishing were completed by hand, enhancing detail while maintaining structural integrity.
This is intentional work — precise, controlled, and built to endure.
