This one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant is built with elevation, contrast, and layered structure. A rare purple flash labradorite forms the foundation, with a genuine amethyst set above it at an intentional angle—creating a multi-level composition that reflects the Boulder Ridge formation.
The design draws from the way boulders settle into one another—stacked, grounded, and shaped by time—translated into a dimensional, bench-forged silver form.
Scale & Substance
The pendant carries a compact yet elevated presence, with vertical depth created through layered stone placement. The angled composition introduces movement, allowing the piece to shift visually depending on light and perspective.
Its structure gives it presence beyond its size, with each element contributing to a balanced, grounded form.
Stone & Material Character
The labradorite displays a rare purple flash, shifting in tone with movement and light. It is set in a straight bezel, providing a clean, grounded base for the composition.
Above it, a genuine amethyst is set in a decorative gallery bezel, elevated and angled to create contrast in both color and structure. The interplay between the saturated purple tones of each stone creates depth and cohesion.
A sculpted leaf accent rests across the top, introducing a natural, directional element that ties the composition together.
Studio Process
This pendant is bench-forged silver, constructed through layered handwork at the studio bench. Each stone is set at a deliberate angle, building upward to achieve the Boulder Ridge structure.
Bezels are formed to each individual stone, while the supporting elements are shaped and refined through controlled tool work. The final composition reflects precision in alignment, balance, and elevation.
