Rainbow Moonstone, Hummingbird & Swirl Hand-Forged Sterling Silver Pendant

Hand-forged in the Adirondack foothills, this one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant features a freeform oval Rainbow Moonstone paired with a hummingbird and flowing silver swirls. The sculptural swirls sweep along the upper edge of the stone like wind moving across the landscape, bringing movement to the composition while framing the natural flash of the moonstone.

Built individually at the Sterling Roots bench, this pendant brings together luminous natural stone, dimensional silverwork, and nature-inspired form through disciplined traditional silversmithing.

Form & Wearability

Measuring approximately 2 inches in length, the pendant carries noticeable presence while maintaining a versatile scale for regular wear. The freeform oval Rainbow Moonstone anchors the design, with its natural flashes shifting as the stone moves through changing light.

Along the upper edge, sterling silver swirls create a windswept effect, while the hummingbird introduces another layer of movement within the scene. Together, the details create an organic silhouette that remains balanced around the stone.

Material & Studio Practice

This artisan sterling silver pendant is built by hand within our Adirondack jewelry studio using traditional silversmithing tools and hands-on fabrication techniques.

The freeform Rainbow Moonstone is individually fitted into its setting before the silver swirls and hummingbird details are formed and integrated into the composition. Each element is positioned intentionally to follow the natural shape of the stone and create a cohesive sense of movement across the pendant.
