Hand-forged in the Adirondack foothills, this one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant features a freeform, oval-inspired Rainbow Moonstone framed by a hummingbird and flowing windswept swirls. The silverwork travels along the upper edge of the stone before rising into the bail, creating a continuous composition shaped around movement, light, and natural form.

Built individually at the Sterling Roots bench, this artisan sterling silver pendant pairs luminous natural stone with disciplined handwork in a refined scale designed for everyday wear.

Form & Wearability

Measuring approximately 1.5 inches in length, the pendant concentrates distinctive detail into a smaller, versatile form. The freeform Rainbow Moonstone anchors the composition, revealing shifting flashes as the stone moves through changing light.

Along the upper edge, sterling silver swirls sweep across the stone like wind before continuing upward to form the bail. A hummingbird sits within the flowing silverwork, adding another element of movement while maintaining the balanced proportions of the pendant.

The oxidized finish emphasizes the contours, recessed areas, and dimensional details throughout the silver.

This handcrafted silver pendant is built by hand within our Adirondack jewelry studio using traditional silversmithing tools and hands-on fabrication techniques.

The freeform Rainbow Moonstone is individually fitted into its setting before the hummingbird and windswept silver elements are formed and integrated into the design. The upper swirl is shaped to become part of the bail, allowing a functional element of the pendant to remain visually connected to the composition.

Oxidation is applied as the final treatment to bring depth and definition to the detailed silverwork.
