This one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant is built with layered dimension and sculptural form. A hand-forged peony rises just below the bail, with a freeform rhodochrosite stone set beneath—partially tucked within the petals—creating depth, movement, and a cohesive, integrated composition.
Positioned within the Signature tier, this piece reflects controlled structure and refined bench-forged silver work.
Scale & Substance
Measuring just over 1.5 inches, this pendant carries a balanced presence with dimensional depth. The layered peony form creates elevation, while the stone placement introduces a grounded focal point beneath the surface of the flower.
The composition is compact yet structured, allowing it to hold visual weight without excess scale.
Stone & Material Character
The rhodochrosite displays soft pink tones with natural variation, set in a serrated bezel that enhances its organic edges. Its placement beneath the petals creates a sense of depth, allowing the stone to emerge through the silverwork rather than sit independently.
Above, the peony is formed in layered sterling silver, each petal shaped and arranged to create a three-dimensional floral structure with defined edges and shadow.
Studio Process
This pendant is bench-forged silver, constructed through detailed handwork at the studio bench. The peony is built layer by layer, with each petal individually formed, shaped, and assembled to create depth and structure.
The bezel is formed to the stone and integrated into the composition, allowing the rhodochrosite to sit within the flow of the petals. The final piece is refined and balanced to maintain both durability and visual cohesion.
