Rough Rainbow Moonstone & Black Tourmaline Flower Sterling Silver Pendant

This one-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant is built around contrast, texture, and sculptural form. A rough rainbow moonstone is paired with polished black tourmaline in a balanced vertical composition, connected by hand-forged silver details that introduce depth and movement. A three-dimensional flower and flowing curved accent complete the design with an organic sense of growth.

Positioned within the Signature tier, this pendant reflects refined bench-forged silver work and an intentional balance of raw natural material and forged metal.

Scale & Substance

Measuring approximately 2.5 inches in length, this pendant has a substantial vertical presence while maintaining graceful proportions. The stacked arrangement of the stones creates visual rhythm, while the dimensional silver elements add depth without overwhelming the composition.

Its layered construction gives the pendant a sculptural quality from every angle.

Stone & Material Character

The upper stone is a rough oval rainbow moonstone, preserved in its natural crystalline form and elevated within a gallery bezel. Its textured surface and subtle flashes of color contrast beautifully with the smooth finish of the polished oval black tourmaline below.

The black tourmaline is secured in a handcrafted scalloped bezel, introducing additional texture to the lower portion of the pendant. Between the two stones, three solid sterling silver bead accents and a hand-forged three-dimensional flower create a natural transition, while a sweeping curved silver accent flows from the top of the pendant to the bottom, unifying the entire composition.

The oxidized finish highlights every forged contour and emphasizes the depth of the silverwork.

Studio Process

This pendant is bench-forged silver, constructed through traditional silversmithing techniques at the studio bench. Each bezel is individually formed to complement the character of its stone before the layered composition is assembled by hand.

The flower is forged into a three-dimensional form, while the curved silver accent is shaped to create continuous movement throughout the design. Every bead accent, forged element, and stone setting is carefully positioned to achieve harmony, structure, and lasting durability.
