Stone & Material Character

Each oval labradorite cabochon was hand-selected in Tucson at the Gem & Mineral Show for its distinctive yellow-green flash. While unified in tone, every stone carries its own internal movement — shifting between chartreuse, gold, and green as it meets the light.

Scalloped bezels contour each oval precisely, framing the stones with controlled detail. Oversized sterling bead accents create separation and rhythm between the stones, strengthening the visual flow of the composition.

The interplay of oxidized sterling silver and luminous labradorite produces contrast — shadow against flash, structure against light.

Studio Process

Each bezel was formed and shaped individually before being soldered into the vertical configuration. The outer perimeter was refined to ensure alignment and proportion across all three stones and bead accents.

The triple shank was measured, forged, and secured to support the scale of the ring face. Final oxidation and finishing were completed by hand, enhancing depth while maintaining clean, intentional lines.

This is disciplined metalwork — shaped through traditional silversmithing techniques and controlled bench practice.
