This one-of-a-kind pendant features a freeform rose-cut Crazy Lace Agate with warm yellow and red coloring, set in hand-forged sterling silver. A clean straight bezel follows the irregular shape of the stone, while a twisted sterling silver rope border adds fine texture around its perimeter. A substantial bail completes the piece and allows it to be paired with a variety of chains.
Built entirely at the bench in our Adirondack jewelry studio using traditional silversmithing tools, the design keeps the metalwork refined while allowing the color and natural pattern of the Crazy Lace Agate to remain prominent.
Form & Proportion
Measuring approximately 1.25 inches, the pendant follows the freeform outline of the Crazy Lace Agate. Its rose-cut surface gives the stone additional dimension, while the yellow and red tones create a warm, distinctive presence within the silver setting.
The twisted rope border closely follows the stone, adding another layer of detail without overwhelming its natural pattern.
Materials & Method
The freeform Crazy Lace Agate is secured within a hand-formed straight bezel and surrounded by a twisted sterling silver rope accent. Each component is individually formed, fitted, and assembled at the bench using traditional silversmithing techniques.
The large sterling silver bail provides a substantial finishing element at the top of the pendant and offers versatility when selecting a chain.
